Half Empty / Half Full

August 23, 2006

We all know this pyschologically insightful question – “Is the glass half empty or is it half full?” Based on how you answer this question, you are either an optimistic, positive person, with a hopeful outlook on life, or a pessimistic, negative person, with easily induced thoughts of suicide (ok, maybe not to that extent, but you get the picture!).

People who know me, will probably call me negative – I always think the worst. And while this is somewhat true, I would like to answer the question – Is the glass half empty or is it half full? Well, I would probably drink the water and call the glass empty ! The name for me would be – Negatively Realistic. While positive thinking is great and I do encourage it, I prefer to be pleasantly surprised than terribly dissapointed.

  1. The world needs more glass half empty people, it’s the only way to end up with a full glass.
