I was watching Oprah yesterday, and her guest was the Senator of somewhere (I’m not very politically aware), and he said something which reminded me of….ME! He said that before he makes any decisions, he always asks himself, “if it were me, how would I feel?” (his mom thought him this). Anyways, I feel like I’m always saying this to some people in my life (Panchito) and I think it is a very important piece of advise. Maybe if we all took the time to think about if someone else were about to do to us, what we’re about to do to someome else, how would it make us feel?

We are all always only thinking about ourselves anyways, this way, maybe we can become better people. “Don’t do onto others, what you wouldn’t want done to you”. (someone said that, I don’t know who).

    Mokey,
You are wrong. Jesus said “Do onto others what you would have them do onto you”.

Anyhow, about the post, I hear ya Sidz. We could all be a little more understanding, it just takes a conscious effort to do so, and that in itself is hard. By default we seem to think of ourselves, perhaps due to some innate wiring in our brains along the lines of “survival of the fittest”…

…and also, for some reason, guys seem to think more egocentrically than girls do. Again, I’m siding with “it’s by nature” on this one. I think that girls are wired differently than guys, and for some reason you girls able to think more holistically than guys can.
