So, here it is my first blog in almost exactly 3 months…..

The following events took place between the hours of 4AM on Wednesday February 21st, 2007 and 10:30PM on Thursday February 22nd, 2007.

DAY 1

We were scheduled to leave at 4AM, but we actually left at 5AM – NOT BAD!! “We” were my mom, dad, sister, other sister, her husband and their three little boys, and oh yeah – me! We enter Detroit at about 9:45AM, smoooth sailing.

I knew for sure we were in Detroit when I read the sign that said “Drug Free School Zone” – For reals.

So, 12 hours after leaving home, my younger sis and I watched one episode of Lost, pee’d about 20 times, slept for 9 hours and ate for the other 2 (in total). My parents were lovingly bickering, for what seemed like forever and I don’t know what the others did – they were in the other van.

ETA – 6PM, Actual Arrival – 5PM. After we got settled in, we went to Wal-Mart, just to see what it was like. Yeah, it was pretty much like it is in Canada. Then we went to sleep.

DAY 2

Kentucky to Georgia. Left at 7:15AM, drove for about 9 hours. What did we do on the drive – refer to DAY 1.

We get to the hotel at 4:30. My older sis choose a room, but her eldest son immediately said he didn’t want that room. Well, that should have been a clue, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened next….

Okay, nothing happened, I just said that for the effect. But, while I was taking a shower, I did hear someone say my name, but there was no one else in the bathroom – creepy! Then, my mom and sis decided to make popcorn (not sure why), but the popcorn bag burnt in the mircowave – what the hell. Finally, we went to bed, but our alarm clock radio kept making werid and annoying sounds throught out the night – I’m pretty sure the room was haunted……..

I have booked a Spa day for myself!!

I am quite excited, as I am tired, stressed and over worked these days. So, I paid $260 for my 6 hours Spa event…..and I know what you’re thinking- why would I spend soooo much for that. Well, first of all, I feel very stressed out and the massage alone is worth the $260. I am getting a manicure, pedicure, facial, body exfoliation, body wrap AND a massage (and a lunch, which probably consists of a salad and a salad!) And secondly, since nobody reads my blogs anymore (cause I rarely write or maybe my wanna be blogs are boring as hell!), I guess I don’t really have a problem.

Anyways, I don’t usually get excited very much, but I wait in anticipation for my Spa experience – I do hope it lives up to my expectation!!

Isn’t it annoying when people blame your bad moods on PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome) ?? Isn’t it?? Okay, well when I was younger, it really made me mad…..well, not so much mad, more like slightly irritated. Like, couldn’t I just be in a crappy mood!

So now that age is very quickly creeping up on me, I have noticed a pattern. It seems like a week before my menstrual cycle – I get easily irritated and annoyed. I still maintain that when I was younger there didn’t seem to be any relation between PMS and my mood swings, but now I guess that I’m going to have to reasses the situation.

Our bodies change sooooo much as we age. I mean, we always hear our moms and aunts talking about how much our bodies will change when we’re in our 30’s and 40’s. But I believe that changes start taking place after our 25th birthdays. It’s like there’s an internal timer just waiting for specific moments of our lives to start rearranging and redecorating things! It’s so strange though, one day you’re young and fresh and lively and then suddenly you’re like old and lame and tired….I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. Or maybe I am feeling this earlier than most women. But, I do think it does happen to us, everyone of us, at some point….and it’s only gonna get worst.

So, enjoy your youth young-ins!!

This blog is primarily for women but not only – guys can feel free to comment as well.
